Pauciflora is a fictional furniture brand I created to explore soft, minimalist web design. Inspired by the brand name’s mellow and botanical feel, I designed a semi-functional site in Figma that reflects calm, warmth, and simplicity. Through research into boutique design trends and interaction patterns, I crafted a digital experience that balances visual aesthetics with usability. This project allowed me to demonstrate my proficiency in Figma and showcase how I can translate brand identity into an effective and engaging user interface.

Competitor Analysis

These companies successfully create a warm and comforting user experience through their websites. They achieve this with a combination of design choices, including rounded corners, soft color palettes, and friendly typography. Both sites effectively use large, high-quality imagery that aligns with their brand tone and share a similar information architecture, which served as a valuable reference for my own design work.

My analysis of the Koala website highlights several key design elements:

A cohesive, fully rounded design and soft typography for an approachable feel.
Soft, muted colors and a large hero image that anchor the brand's comforting tone.

After research I brainstormed the theme. Here is a mood board of what aesthetic the website should have.

Sketches

A low fidelity sketch of what I imagine the website would look like, with a couple of iterations. I will take aspects of each and improve them for the medium fidelity.

Medium Fidelity Wireframe

A mockup of the UI. Once I was happy with all the details I knew it was time to move to high fidelity.

Style Tile

Before making the final design I curated a style tile so I can assign the perfect font, colour, icons and button/ card style pairings.

Drawing from my inspiration and design research, I’ve crafted a homepage that feels warm, modern, and welcoming. Its familiar structure ensures intuitive navigation while maintaining a distinct and cosy character.

Product List

A clear and simple product list, organised with categories and filters, enhanced by gentle, intuitive micro-interactions for a smooth browsing experience.

Product Page

A beautiful and informative product page featuring a large image ticker, concise description, quantity and colour toggles, and an intuitive selected state for accessing additional details like reviews or specifications. The layout feels cohesive, user-friendly, and visually engaging.

Checkout Page

A site-wide overlay checkout option leads seamlessly to this intuitive checkout page. Clear selected states, a concise cart summary, and well-labeled text fields guide the user through each step, leaving no room for error.

Interactive Prototype

Feel free to look around the site. It isn't fully complete, and not all buttons work, but it gives a decent idea of the design and what could be handed of to a dev team.
